Shop compatible charging cables, portable chargers and accessories for the Geely Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid. The Starray EM-i uses a Type 2 connection for AC charging and charges at up to 7kW.
A 7.4kW Type 2 cable is therefore the right choice for home, workplace and public AC charging. A 22kW cable will work, but it will not make the car charge any faster. You can also add a portable 3-pin charger for convenient overnight charging or as a backup when travelling.
What charging cable does the Geely Starray EM-i use?
The Starray EM-i uses a Type 2 connection for AC charging, so a Type 2 to Type 2 charging cable is the standard choice.
Does the Geely Starray EM-i need a 22kW cable?
No. The Starray EM-i charges at up to 7kW on AC, so a 7.4kW cable is sufficient. A 22kW cable is compatible but will not increase the charging speed.
Can I charge the Starray EM-i from a 3-pin socket?
Yes. A compatible portable 3-pin charger can be used from a suitable UK household socket and is particularly practical for overnight charging of a plug-in hybrid.
Is the Geely Starray EM-i an electric car?
The Starray EM-i is a plug-in hybrid rather than a fully electric car. It can travel on electric power from its battery and also has a petrol engine for longer journeys.
