These Mitsubishi models charge at up to about 3.7kW on AC, so a 7.4kW Mode 3 Type 1 cable charges the earlier Outlander PHEV and the i-MiEV at full speed. To charge from a standard UK socket, choose a portable Mode 2 3 pin charger (sometimes called a granny charger).

Which charging cable do I need for my Mitsubishi?
You need a Mode 3 cable with the right plug for your car: Type 1 for the i-MiEV and the earlier Outlander PHEV, or Type 2 for the all-new Outlander PHEV. The other end is Type 2, which fits almost every UK wallbox and public charge point. A 7.4kW cable is plenty, because these cars charge at up to about 3.7kW on AC.
What is the best home EV charger for a Mitsubishi?
A 7.4kW socketed home wallbox charger is the most flexible choice. It has a Type 2 socket instead of a fixed cable, so it works with a Type 1 or Type 2 cable and suits any Mitsubishi plug-in, including if you change your car later.
