Yes. All current MG electric and plug-in hybrid models use a Type 2 connector for AC charging, so the same Type 2 cable is compatible across the MG4, MG ZS EV, MG HS PHEV, MG5 and other MG models. The MG Cyberster also supports faster 22kW three phase AC charging, which requires a 22kW rated cable.

Most MG models come with a Mode 2 portable 3-pin granny cable as standard. A Mode 3 Type 2 cable for home wallbox or public charging is not usually included, which is why most MG owners buy one separately.

A granny charger is a portable Mode 2 charger that plugs into a standard UK 3-pin socket and charges at around 2.3kW. It is the slowest charging option but useful for overnight home charging or in situations where no wallbox is available. Most MG models include one as standard.
