All UK Leapmotor models use a Type 2 connection for AC charging. For home, workplace and public AC charging, you will normally need a Type 2 to Type 2 cable.
Can I charge a Leapmotor from a 3-pin socket?
Yes. A compatible portable 3-pin EV charger can be used from a suitable UK household socket. It is slower than a wallbox but useful for overnight top-ups, travel and backup charging.
Do I need a 7.4kW or 22kW cable for a Leapmotor?
A 7.4kW cable is suitable for normal UK home charging. Models with 11kW AC charging, such as the B10 and B05, can make use of a 22kW cable when connected to a three-phase workplace or public charger.
Can I use public chargers with a Leapmotor?
Yes. Leapmotor models use Type 2 for AC charging and CCS for DC rapid charging, so they are compatible with the standard charging infrastructure used across the UK.
