Shop 22kW Mode 3 Type 2 charging cables for three phase AC charging. A Mode 3 cable is the separate lead between a charge point and your car, and Type 2 is the connector used by most EVs and plug-in hybrids in the UK.
Each cable is rated at 32 amps, comes in black or green, and is available from 1.8m to 15m, with versions listed for specific makes and models.
A 22kW cable only charges at 22kW when both the charge point and your car's onboard charger support it. Every cable has a two-year manufacturer's guarantee, free UK Mainland 2 to 3 day delivery, and 30-day returns on unused items in their original packaging.
Yes. A 22kW cable works on 7kW and 7.4kW single phase chargers, and your car simply charges at the lower rate. It's a good choice if you use three phase public posts as well as a home wallbox, because one cable covers both.
Will a 22kW cable charge my car faster?
Only if your car's onboard charger accepts more than 7.4kW. On AC charging, the car sets the speed, not the cable. A car with an 11kW onboard charger charges at up to 11kW on a 22kW post, and only cars with a 22kW onboard charger use the full 22kW.
Do 22kW cables work with Type 1 cars?
No. 22kW three phase cables use the Type 2 connector, because Type 1 only supports single phase charging. If your car has a Type 1 port, choose a 7.4kW Type 1 Mode 3 cable instead.
