Why purchase an expensive home charger when this will do the job?
The 10 amp charging rate translates to approximately 2.3kW or in more real world language approximately 1 mile of range for every 6-7 minutes of charging ( around 10 miles of range added per hour of charger)* which adds around 110 plus miles of range to any electric vehicle or plug-in hybrid vehicle when placed on a 12 hour overnight charge.
The EV Extras portable charger is designed to be as compact and as lightweight as possible reducing the space and weight within the vehicle if you decide you need to charge away from home.
It uses a standard UK 3 pin plug and is ideal for plugging in just about anywhere you can access a standard domestic 13 amp power socket.
The charger is waterproof (IP65 rating). The 13 Amp socket needs to be plugged in either indoors or into a waterproof/weather-rated outdoor socket.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Using a 3 pin socket long term as a primary charger it is recommended that a socket uprated specifically designed, tested and manufactured for EV charging is used. We stock both the indoor and outdoor version for the uprated EV charging socket:
Indoor EV rated Socket- £5 when purchased as a bundle with this charger (normally £15).
Outdoor EV rated Socket- £35 when purchased as a bundle with this charger (normally £45).
